A quiz is the students' favorite part of the magazine, and I designed one for the third issue of our news-magazine. Designing this was a blast because I was able to have complete freedom in questions and layout. I was also able to fit this within the theme of the issue, which was our school's 2017 production: Seussical the Musical. |
These are nine of the 18 trading cards I designed featuring top athletes at South Pointe in 2016. Trained at the district’s Applied Technology Center running Adobe Illustrator on Macs, I brought my expertise to my school's newsmagazine, which runs an early version of Illustrator on old HP desktops. Frustrated, I had to focus on the final product I knew I could create. I worked with both adviser and our school’s technology expert to push through the project, which athletes and readership were very happy with. |
This is the first cover that I created, designed for the first issue of 2016, my first as editor-in-chief. I am really proud of this, particularity because of the inclusive message it communicates. Because a majority of the student body might receive the Gay Pride cover negatively, design can help celebrate even controversial packages. This is the cover of the second issue of 2016. The concept and design of the front were done by myself. The theme of the issue was "international," with most stories about foreign teachers and students in our school. The names of the countries in the stallion represent the diverse population that are in South Pointe. |
